Donna Seaman

The critic that I chose is Donna Seaman because when reading these messages she has a positive voice. She knows what she is talking about when she responds to the question of is it important for readers to develop a relationship with a critic and she says “I’m always hoping for clarity. The best criticism is rich in unexpected connections” or her other comment “Ongoing self-education is essential.” Even though critics can sometimes have a tough attitude because their job is really expressing their opinion to a good or a bad thing, Donna sounds really open-minded and doesn’t express it with a bad word or sarcasm.
I think I relate to this critic because I am the same way when it comes to commenting with a good attitude and when I have an opinion about something, I tell them the honest opinion rather than saying it all with a negative tone or being sarcastic about it. I can relate to Donna Seaman because she has the enough courage to tell a restaurant owner that the food was bad or tell a movie director that, that was a good movie. Although she has the courage, I could develop more courage by reading more about her and learning how she came to be a critic and her background.
